The Rescue of the Shopping Cart Bunnies

This video is by my friend Kristie Corson at Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue. I will warn you that it is emotional.

Little Miracles received a phone call in the middle of June. An adoptive family had seen a sign on the side of the road saying "Too Many Bunnies - $10" and stopped to investigate. What she found was horrific, and she begged Little Miracles to help rescue the rabbits.

They were being housed in cages that were falling apart and shopping carts covered with plywood. The rabbits were living in filth, and with the heat rising, the rabbits were in serious danger. This video documents the rescue.

    1. I understand Pandy - that's why I put a disclaimer first. It's hard to see animals living in such terrible conditions, even if you know they are going to be rescued.

  2. there is a special place in heaven for rescuers like her. we wish them well and hope they can get someone out to help those they couldn't get. we helped with something similar yesterday and know there is a special place in hell for those that take advantage and abuse/neglect animals.

    1. I think for me the saddest part was that the woman wouldn't surrender the babies and was going to sell them in a few weeks - long before they should be separated from their mother. She only cares about making a buck and doesn't even care if those babies even survive once she sells them!

  3. Seems to me that people like that should beforced to live with the same treatment and living conditons that they put animals through as punishment they might not do it again then.from Speedy's mum
