World's Best Cat Litter gives thanks to animal shelters with new round of GiveLitter

Via PR Newswire - World's Best Cat Litter is celebrating Thanksgiving with a new round of GiveLitter that allows online voters to donate up to 30,000 pounds of litter to two New England animal shelters.

The new GiveLitter round launched yesterday with voting running through November 24. Cat enthusiasts can visit www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/givelitter and vote daily to donate litter to the Providence Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island and Worcester Animal Rescue League in Massachusetts.

For every vote, World's Best Cat Litter will donate one pound of litter to the chosen charity with each participating shelter capable of receiving up to 15,000 pounds of litter total! In the end, each shelter will receive litter according to how many votes they earned. Voting is free and open to anyone.

The latest round of charitable giving comes just in time for the holiday season and gives cat lovers an easy and free means of giving back to shelters that support cats in need.

"Thanksgiving is almost here and we wanted to give thanks to the shelter employees who work tirelessly to help cats find their forever homes. Our fans share our passion for supporting pet adoption and this new round of GiveLitter gives them a simple way to give back," said Jean Broders, brand manager of World's Best Cat Litter.

World's Best Cat Litter expects both participating shelters to receive thousands of pounds of all-natural litter based on the success of previous rounds of GiveLitter. This charitable launch follows on the heels of a special GiveLitter campaign in October that saw 3,500 pounds of free cat litter donated to a shelter impacted by devastating flooding in Colorado.

Brand stewards say the latest charitable effort comes during an equally important time.

"While the holidays are a time for family and celebration, the reality is that shelter staff members work around the clock. We are confident our fans will give them a big boost by voting online to donate much-needed litter," said Broders.

Since its inception GiveLitter has helped cat enthusiasts donate more than 260,000 pounds of free cat litter to deserving shelters across the United States. The program has also donated more than 1,000 adoption kits to participating shelters.

World's Best Cat Litter was founded on more than sound science. It was founded on a love for cats, a respect for communities, and a responsibility to the planet. That is why it is committed to giving to programs that further and enhance human-pet relationships, community viability and earth-friendly sustainable practices.

GiveLitter maximizes potential donations by using the web and social media to increase reach and make giving easy. Visit www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/givelitter.

  1. That's very nice that they will donate all that litter to a shelter. I'm sure they go through a ton of it regularly.
