#GetTough on Dog Fighting

Wednesday, April 8th is National Dog Fighting Awareness Dayand the ASPCA is asking animal advocates across the country to #GetTough on this cruel and barbaric practice and help create a social movement.

You can help #GetTough on dog fighting by following these three simple steps:
  1. Download a #GetTough on dog fighting toolkit kit which includes a printable sign, Facebook & Twitter cover image, and digital shareables: http://www.aspca.org/GetTough
  2. Take a photo with the #GetTough on dog fighting sign and post on social media using the #GetTough hashtag. Including your own pup in the photo is encouraged!
  3. Ask the Department of Justice to #GetTough on dog fighters by creating harsher sentencing guidelines: http://bit.ly/1HxeMSL

Dog fighting occurs in every part of the country and in every type of community. The ASPCA is working to ensure that canines are safe from this cruel sport. ASPCA responders help save animals from abuse and build cases against abusers. And at the end of every case, their placement specialists ensure that animal abuse survivors find loving homes.
