Iams Home 4 the Holidays Update

The Iams Home for the Holidays campaign is going strong. As of October 19, total meal donations are at 27,215 and pet adoptions have reached more than 90,000!

Here's the breakdown of pets who have found forever homes since October 1:

Dogs:   49,735
Cats:    39,502
Other:    1,229
Total   90,466

This year, in addition to helping more orphaned pets get adopted, Iams Home 4 the Holidays is feeding more pets by donating food directly to shelters and rescues. This year’s goal is 5 million meal donations.

Iams Digital Dish Drive is a new and simple way you can donate meals to pets in need right from your laptop or mobile device on Facebook.com/Iams!

Here are some easy ways you can help support the Iams Home 4 the Holidays campaign:
  1. Sign up: Every registration for Iams Lifelong Rewards equals monthly coupons and pet care tips for you and more meals donated to orphaned pets.
  2. “Like” pets: Like or share the Rescue Pet of the Day on Iams Facebook page, and they’ll donate meals to orphaned pets.
  3. Film your pet: Iams is making a video starring your dogs and cats (coming soon)! Upload a video of your pets to have meals donated to orphaned pets.
Iams Home 4 the Holidays has grown to become one of the most successful pet adoption and shelter-support campaigns in the world. The program began in 1999, in San Diego County’s Helen Woodward Animal Center, which spearheaded the effort with the support of Iams. This partnership has continued to this day. Although the campaign is based around the holiday season, Iams support of pet shelters, rescues, and owners is maintained throughout the year.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is a private, nonprofit organization. Its core principal is “people help animals and animals help people.” The center created the international Iams Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption drive and the Animal Center Education Services program, which teaches the business of saving lives to animal-welfare leaders around the world.
