Voting for the 2013 Petties finalists closes on July 31 at midnight PST (one vote per day per person). During the voting period, you can also submit nominations for the 2013 Petties Unsung Hero Awards.
Winners will be announced in an online ceremony broadcast at http://petties.dogtime.com in September. Winners are honored with a personalized Petties trophy and a $1,000 donation to a non-profit 501c3 shelter or rescue of their choice.
The Petties recognizes the best of the pet blogging community. Through this program, DogTime has donated over $50,000 to shelters and rescues across the nation. In addition to bloggers, the Petties honors nonprofit organizations and volunteers who have dedicated their lives to helping homeless animals.
We are so honored to be a finalist in the best active living blog category. We are in a category with some other great blogs but I sure hope we win I can give a $1,000 check to the rescue that brought Gretel into my life.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and Good Luck!
Deletegood luck to all of the finalist!
ReplyDeleteWe have been voting. Have a serene Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
The Best Overall Pet Blog Category has blogs in it that don't belong there. There shouldn't be dog specific or cat specific blogs in that group at all.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Pawsitively Pets in that category? I hear they received quite a few nominations and mysteriously are not in that category.
Caren - I believe best overall is open to everyone regardless of their niche. They may want to consider a best other category for non-dog and non-cat specific blogs.
DeleteWe're humbled and flattered to be included as a "Best Cause Blog" finalist. We love that animals will benefit no matter who wins! :)
