The new Alfie visits Best Friends

Alfie contracted Parvo and Distemper as a puppy. Thanks to the support of his Guardian Angels, he survived them both.

When he was adopted in September 2011, he could stand on his back legs but could not walk. Now after months of physical therapy and playing with his buddy Arnold, he runs and plays like all the other dogs!

For nearly 30 years, Best Friends has been running the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals and building effective programs all across the country that reduce the number of animals entering shelters and increase the number who find homes.
